1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Learn Arabic A1 is a beginner Arabic learning app published by Araqick. It is also known as Practical Everyday Arabic and PE Arabic. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Araqick as the provider of Learn Arabic A1.
This policy covers the Learn Arabic A1 Android app, its product pages on this website, and the associated Arabic learning articles. Other Araqick apps and services may have their own privacy policies.
You can use Learn Arabic A1 without creating an account. The app stores learning information on your device so you can continue learning, review completed lessons, and keep your chosen settings.
Learning progress: completed lessons, earned stars, and records used to recognise completed learning sessions.
Preferences: theme, appearance colour, sound, haptics, transliteration, and other local display choices.
App-use information: today’s time spent in the app, grouped by local hour, to show your daily learning activity. This does not monitor your use of other apps.
Downloaded content and update preferences: available lesson audio and images, and information used to manage update prompts.
The current app does not upload your learning progress, preferences, or daily app-use records to Araqick, and it does not provide account-based cloud synchronisation.
3. Support emails and optional bug reports
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or information you choose to send. We use this information to respond, investigate the issue, and provide support.
The in-app bug report feature opens an email draft. If you choose to include diagnostics, the draft contains your Android version, device manufacturer and model, and app version. Your saved progress and lesson content are not included by this feature.
You can review or edit the draft before sending it. The app does not automatically send the email or upload a bug report in the background. Please avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
4. Google Play, downloads, and external services
Google Play provides app distribution and update services. When available, additional lesson audio and images can be downloaded through Google Play Asset Delivery. Downloading content and checking for or installing updates may require an internet connection.
Google may process technical, connection, and download-related information for these services under its own policies. These services do not provide Araqick with a cloud copy of your learning progress.
When you open Google Play, a social media page, or an email app, that service operates under its own terms and privacy practices. Useful references include the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms of Service.
5. Website visits and browser storage
Our hosting and delivery providers may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and request time, to deliver the website and support its operation and security. The website is hosted using Firebase Hosting, a Google service.
The product pages and learning articles store your animation preference in your browser’s local storage. Website practice activities run in your browser; your answers are not submitted to an Araqick learning account.
The current product pages do not include advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts and page assets are served with the website. Opening an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
You can clear this site’s browser storage through your browser settings. Hosting providers manage any operational records under their own practices; see Firebase Privacy and Security information.
6. Permissions, advertising, and information sharing
The app uses internet and network-state access for available Google Play features and connectivity checks, and vibration for optional haptic feedback. You can turn haptics off in Settings. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location.
The current Learn Arabic A1 app is free and has no advertisements, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. It does not include advertising, analytics, or automatic crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not sell your personal information or use your learning records for targeted advertising. Support correspondence may be handled by the people and email providers needed to answer your request. Website hosting providers process requests needed to serve the site. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or necessary to protect legal rights and security.
7. Retention, removal, and your choices
Local learning progress and preferences remain on your device until you reset or remove them. Today’s app-use record is replaced when the local day or timezone changes.
Reset learning progress: use “Reset local progress” in the app’s Settings to clear completed lessons, stars, and session-completion records and return to the first section. Preferences, today’s app-use information, and downloaded media are kept.
Remove lesson media: use the removal controls in Lesson downloads, where downloaded packs are available.
Remove local app data: clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall it. This may remove progress, preferences, and downloaded content.
Remove browser preferences: clear this website’s site data in your browser.
Support correspondence: contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us. We keep correspondence only as needed to handle the request, related follow-up, or applicable legal obligations.
The app is configured to exclude its local data from Android cloud backup and device-transfer backups. It has no Araqick cloud restore feature. Progress may be lost if you clear storage, uninstall the app, or change devices.
We cannot remotely reset information stored only on your device. Google, your email provider, and other external services manage their own records; use their controls for requests concerning their services. Privacy rights may vary under applicable law.
8. How we protect information
The website uses HTTPS, and the app keeps its local learning information in app-specific storage. We limit the use of support information to the purposes described here. Please keep your device and email account secure.
No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information related to Learn Arabic A1 has been exposed, contact our support address.
9. Younger learners
Learn Arabic A1 offers beginner educational content and does not require a learner profile. Parents or guardians should supervise younger learners when they open external services, share content, or contact support.
We do not ask children to provide personal information to complete lessons. If you believe a child has sent us personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can review the request.
10. Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or relevant product pages where appropriate.
